Lockheed Martin, Information Systems & Global Solutions (IS&GS), a business unit of Lockheed Martin Corporation, specializes in planning, specifying, developing, testing, integrating, deploying, and supporting complex engineering systems across their full life cycle from concept definition through systems retirement. Our highly skilled systems engineers skillfully analyze and interpret complex engineering requirements to develop strategic planning for technology programs. They engage in concept studies and requirements analysis, translate the program concept into a system design, integrating various complex components, and test and evaluate prototypes to ensure they perform according to program objectives. Integrated logistics support and life-cycle management services complete the full life-cycle capabilities offered by Lockheed Martin IS&S.

  SINs
871-1  Strategic Planning for Technology Programs/Activity– Definition and interpretation of high-level organizational engineering performance requirements. Typical tasks include analysis of mission goals and objectives, requirements analysis, organizational performance assessment, and special studies and analysis.
871-2 Concept Development and Requirements Analysis– Abstract or concept studies and analysis, requirements definition, preliminary planning, the evaluation of alternative technical approaches and associated costs. Typical tasks include requirements analysis, cost/performance trade-off analysis, feasibility analysis, regulatory compliance support, and technology conceptual designs.
871-3 System Design, Engineering, and Integration– Translation of a system concept into a preliminary and detailed design, risk identification/analysis/mitigation, traceability, and then integration of the various components to produce a working prototype or model. Typical tasks include computer-aided design, design studies and analysis, high-level detailed specification preparation, configuration management and document control, fabrication, assembly, and simulation and modeling.
871-4  Test and Evaluation – Application of various techniques demonstrating that a prototype system performs in accordance with the objectives outlined in the original design. Typical tasks include prototype and first article testing, environmental testing, independent verification and validation, reverse engineering, simulation and modeling, system safety, and quality assurance.
871-5 Integrated Logistics Support – Analysis, planning, and detailed design of all engineering-specific logistics support throughout the system life cycle. Typical tasks include ergonomic/human performance analysis, feasibility analysis, logistics planning, requirements determination, policy standards/procedures development, long-term reliability and maintainability, and training.
871-6 Acquisition and Life Cycle Management – Planning, budgetary, contract and systems/program management functions to procure, produce, render operational, and provide life cycle support for technology-based systems. Typical tasks include operation and maintenance, program/project management, and technology transfer/insertion.
